On March 28, an extended BIO4ECO Local Stakeholders Group meeting took place. It was attended by more than 80 participants, forest owners, representatives of forest enterprises and forest owners' associations.
Latest developments in the field of forest management and latest news about Rural Development Program and availability of funding were presented. The Forest Department of the Ministry of Agriculture informed about planned activities in 2018 and measures for the implementation of the National Bioeconomy Strategy. The Latvian Forest Owners Association development in 2017, as well as participation in the Interreg Europe BIO4ECO project were discussed.
The outcomes and lessons learned from thematic workshop in Romania were presented to participants. Meeting ended with discussions about BIO4ECO project future activities for the elaboration of an Action Plan proposals.
