On 28 February 2020, the regional working group of the Agriculture Department, responsible for managing the Interreg Bio4eco project, met the main stakeholders to make the point about the implementation of the project. Participants: the Director of the Agriculture Department, new responsible for the project; the Environment and Energy Department of the Region; the Corps of Forestry Carabinieri; the Co.La.For Consortium forestry companies; the National Agency for new Technologies, Energy and sustainable economic development; the soc. Segen SpA. 



During the meeting, the implementation of the project Action Plan, drawn up in 2018 was verified above all. In particular, it was found that with the financial resources of the EAFRD Measures 4.1.1 and 4.2.1, n .62 biomass thermal plants with power below 1 MW in private companies for self-consumption. Measure 7.4.1 financed 6 public plants for the production of energy from renewable sources that use natural resources present in rural areas, with a maximum power of 1 MW electric or 3 MW thermal, adopting the best plant technologies.

Particular interest was verified that in an area of the province of L'Aquila, as part of the POR-FSE 2014-2020 with the intervention "Empowerment of local institutions", the development of interventions on the wood-energy chain is being planned forestry and creation of plants to produce thermal energy.
