Following the first interregional event in Lahti, Finland 25-27.4.2017, the team from Romania has started to disseminate the information about circular bioeconomy best practices and technologies that were shared by project partners. The first presentation was on 9th May 2017 in an internal meeting at National Research and Development Institute for Chemistry and Petrochemistry ICECHIM, Calarasi Subsidiary.

The second sharing event took place at the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, on 29th May 2017 within the BIOECONOMY project, identification of bioeconomy research priorities in Romania for the period 2016-2030.

The participants were very interested in the presentation and appreciated that Päijät-Häme Region is a good example for waste management, a field in which Romania is still deficient, with very low selective collection and recycling rates. The objectives of the BIOREGIO project support the knowledge share and transfer by introducing the good practices of the partner regions.
