On 12 November 2017, BIOREGIO project participated in the exhibition named Sustainable Gastronomy: a valuable product of sustainable tourism in the Thessaloniki International Trade, Greece. More information about the exhibition in Greek can be found here.
The event included the introduction to the principles of sustainable development in Gastronomy and Tourism, analysis of the businesses benefits that follow the sustainability model, environmental and social impact and consumerism strengthening through sustainability models for businesses in the tourism sector. The target was to tackle food waste in Greece and promote sustainable growth in the gastronomy industry; to awake the citizens in terms of waste and the volume of food waste, to train and specialize students of Gastronomy Schools and professionals in sustainable gastronomy, to promote Corporate Social Responsibility in the Gastronomy and Tourism sectors in Greece.
