The morning of the second day focused on visiting two of the Good Practices of the Castilla-La Mancha region. We started by visiting the efficient private waste management plant of Castellano Manchegas de Limpieza in Madridejos.

Next, the big domestic waste management plant of Toledo, better know as the Ecoparque de Toledo, presented its operations, as well as allowing the participants to know their facilities inside. Following, the BIOREGIO team have lunch and gave a short, but beautiful, bus tour for Toledo.

In the afternoon, the BIOREGIO partners moved to the premises of the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Development in Toledo. This session was dedicated to administration and communication issues, essential for the smooth progress of the BIOREGIO project. Later that day, Mr. Agapito Portillo Sánchez, the Deputy Minister of Environment of Castilla-La Mancha, opened up the last session of the event, when the Spanish Bioeconomy Strategy was presented by Dr. Manuel Lainez, the Director of INIA, the National Institute for Agricultural and Food Research and Technology (INIA) and agrifood research in Spain.
