BIOREGIO project partners and stakeholders met for the fourth time in Bucharest, Romania. It’s a good opportunity to share Good Practices of the South Muntenia Region, but also of the other 5 partner regions: Finland, Slovakia, France, Spain, Greece.

Liliana Nichita, Director, Federation of Intercommunity Development Associations, Romania, our guest speaker, presented the EU role in creating networks and ecosystems in a circular economy of biological streams.

The first day includes thematic small group discussions on selected topics. The information was gathered using padlet and then shared with other groups. The topics included:  

- Technologies for valorisation of biowaste/ biological streams

- Designing funding for a bio-based circular economy

- Preparing the regional/ national strategy for circular bio-economy

After that, a roundtable discussion about “Current situation of policy development” was followed. Representatives from each of the six regions presented the current state of the policy development.
