The Laboratory of Heat Transfer and Environmental Engineering, of Mechanical Engineering School, of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in cooperation with the Regional Development Fund of Central Macedonia (RDFCM) and the Central Macedonia Region organized the 6th Local Support Group (LSG) meeting of BIOREGIO project on Wednesday September 25th at the Central Macedonia Region premises.
The scope of the 6th LSG meeting was the update the stakeholder group on the outcomes of the 5th interregional project meeting, held in Nitra, Slovakia in May 2019. Stakeholders were also informed on the context of the action plan, developed in the frame of the project by the RDFCM representatives. During the meeting, potential changes on the upcoming regional calls for the promotion of innovation were discussed which are influenced by the developed action plan.

So far, the LSG contribution has been decisive in terms of exchanging experiences on best available technologies and cooperation models on circular bio-economy as depicted by the number of Good Practices recorded in Central Macedonia Region. To date, the identified good practices number 8 and are briefly described in the BIOREGIO project webpage (https://www.interregeurope.eu/bioregio/good-practices/) and on the Interreg Europe policy learning platform.
In view of the 6th interregional even in Nantes, France on November 5-7, 2019, the stakeholders were updated on its exact topic that is “Development of public policy and regional action plans” and its scope. Their availability to participate was investigated.
