Lithuanian cluster association became one of 25 partners of European Clusters Excellence Consortium, which was found by European Commission initiative and funded by COSME programme. The project is coordinated by European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis (ESCA), which is located in Germany.

ESCA is currently the only one internationally recognized cluster evaluation and certification organization. This is a network of highly trained experts, uniting over 150 cluster specialists from 30 countries, who evaluate clusters all over the world, taking into account the cluster activity of these organizations, as well as management processes, services provided and promoting excellence activities. Lithuanian cluster association will be presented by the executive director Marius Pareščius, who is also an expert on cluster assessment in ESCA. 

In addition to the Lithuanian Cluster Association, the partners of the consortium have also become such organizations and institutions as France Clusters, Regional Council of Lapland, Catalan Agency for Business Competitiveness, Cluster Excellence Denmark, Ministry of National Economy of Hungary, Baltic Innovation Agency, Innovation Norway, Association Française des Pôles de Compétitivité, Ministry of Economics of Latvia, Hungarian National Alliance of Innovative Clusters and others.
