An information seminar entitled “Clusters in Slovakia – their importance, position, sources of financing and internationalisation” was held for the Moldovan delegates by the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (SIEA) with the support of the Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation.
The event took place in Bratislava, Slovakia on September 25, 2019, with the participation of the representatives of SIEA and the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic. The Moldovan delegation consisted of the representatives from the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure of the Republic of Moldova, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, the Moldovan Organisation for Small and Medium Enterprises Sector Development and other entities.
The presentation from the series of dissemination activities of the ClusterFY project focused on the history of the cluster formation, supporting forms complying with the legislation and their connection to the areas of the smart specialisation of the Slovak Republic. A specific part of the seminar was given to the topic of Slovakia’s accession process to the European Union and the associated new opportunities for cluster development and the involvement of clusters in international projects and platforms.
SIEA presented the expert team in the field of international certification of clusters and offered opportunities for expert consultations to Moldovan entities in terms of the establishment of national clusters in the European area.
