The Diputación de Granada (County Council of Granada) is the government of the Province of Granada and it represents 174 municipalities.
Granada is in the Southeast of Spain, inside the Region of Andalusia. Its territory is marked by the predominance of rural areas, the great and diversified richness of its cultural and historical heritage and big geographical contrasts: it includes from a subtropical coast in the Mediterranean seashore, to the highest peak of the Iberian Peninsula with the most southern ski resort of Europe.
The project will allow us to introduce the perspective of circular economy in our Strategies for Urban, Sustainable, integrated Development, that we are currently implementing in the metropolitan surroundings of the city of Granada, capital of the province. Part of such strategies have been approved to be funded by the European Regional Fund for Development, through the urban axis of the Spanish Multi-Regional Operative Programme.
