CONCLUSIONS

The CONDEREFF project is related to another European project on sustainable public procurement, in which AURA-EE is also a partner, the GPP-STREAM project.

Promoting and raising stakeholders’ awareness about resource efficiency represents a continuous and consistent work. In this context, it is expected to involve also architecture schools, programmers, landscapers and engineering offices.

The CONDEREFF project includes several improvement actions:

Specify the sustainable development approach in the special technical specifications and provide quantified objectives.

Develop offer analysis tools.

Accompany the actors in the sourcing phase, promote the development of the sectors by respecting the hierarchy of treatment methods and by linking supply and demand as early as possible in the conception phase.

Prepare the building site in terms of waste management, assist companies in the process of observation, diagnosis and characterisation.

Attest that the materials are re-usable, guarantee the properties for their new use.

Propose a methodology for monitoring the results during the implementation phase and during the lifespan of the asset.

Provide training on good practices of waste sorting and monitoring, until its final disposal (exit from waste status), automate waste tracking practices and promote the good practices.

Offer educational tools, a training kit on sustainable public procurement and waste management.

The implementation of these actions will be constantly made under the objectives of the waste regional plan.
