Our project partner, Budapest Enterpise Agency are on a roll as they just completed their second stakeholder meeting this month! Of course, due to COVID-19 this meeting took place online via Zoom but that didn't mean the discussion was any less engaged!
A group of 20 attended the online meeting, including representatives from across Hungary and even Romania. A big shout out to the large Hungarian community living in Transylvania!
The meeting began with an introduction to the CRAFTS CODE project by Piroska Szalai, President of Budapest Enterprise Agency. Piroska informed the participants about the Interreg Europe CRAFTS CODE project and its aims to support artisans and the crafts sector. Piroska also explained the Good Practices that Budapest Enterprise Agency has presented so far and asked participants to share any other GPs which can be shown on international level.
Panyi Zsuzsi held two 1 hour presentations based on the Poppy bulb mentor program which centred around helping artisans and the crafts sector during turbulent times such as COVID-19. She also explained some good and bad practices in business. Panyi focused on the importance of a communication strategy, how to rationalize the communication costs and perform comms miracles using a low budget. She added that the website is a Ferrari without petrol in the garage – without marketing we cannot succeed!
Budapest Enterprise Agency highlighted that the stakeholder meetings are a very good opportunity to share what happens on international level in the project and to also introduce new GPs.
Panyi Zsuzsi also organized a 1.5 hour small group workshop during which she talked to the artisans individually and answered their questions to help them overcome business difficulties and challenges.
The event was a very interactive one with each participant having the opportunity to speak and ask questions. We were very happy with the feedback as participants are already getting in touch to let us know that they learnt a lot during the meeting. It was wonderful to see and hear how much participants gained from each other, even from the mistakes! We are looking forward to our next meeting already!
