The International Cyber Security Forum (FIC) is a platform promoting a pan-European vision of cyber security and strengthening the fight against cyber crime.
For the Brittany region and its rich cyber security ecosystem, the Forum has been a great opportunity to promote the regional know-how. More than 30 regional players (26 companies, 7 research centres and schools, as well as 1 local authority) were present at the event. To increase the visibility of the regional cyber security solutions offering, Bretagne Development Innovation and Pole d’Excellence Cyber organised a large stand hosting 27 exhibitors under the 'Bretagne' branding.
Brittany values interregional cooperation as a driver to the development of a European cyber security ecosystem and a more integrated and competitive market. Therefore, a specific area of the Brittany stand was dedicated to the initiatives undertaken by the region at the European level. Among the displayed projects was the Interreg Europe CYBER project, coordinated by Bretagne Development Innovation together with the Regional Council of Brittany.
2 European initiatives that contribute to building a European cyber security ecosystem
Funded by the Interreg Europe initiative, the CYBER project relies on the exchange of good practices between the seven partner regions to increase the competitiveness of the cyber security SMEs through improved regional policies.
Another initiative is the European Cyber Valleys Pilot Action, initiated by the European Commission and coordinated by the Brittany Region. The Pilot Action gathers together four European regions to develop joint projects and the interregional cyber security value chain.
During the International Cyber Security Forum (FIC), the stand was organised in 3 thematic areas based on services and solutions provided by the regional ecosystem: Identify and Detect; Protect; Take Charge of an Incident.
