ENEREA, partner of the DeCarb project has organized the Online Interregional Workshop, part of the 5th call activities dedicated to Synergies for digital and green economic diversification in Nyiregyhaza, Hungary on 29.08.2022. The event was held online for project partners and their stakeholders and onsite for representatives of the partnering region Eszak-Alfold, Hungary.
The main goal of the interregional workshop was to exchange experiences and focus on common challenges the light of the present crises such as COVID - 19 and financial and energy crises.
The event opened with a welcome speech by Endre Baracsi, Vice President of Self-government of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County Róbert Orosz, Managing director of ENEREA Eszak-Alfold Regional Energy Agency Nonprofit.
The main topics of the workshops were:
- The labor market transition issues in the Hungarian mining sector;
- Decarbonization in the European Union;
- Green switch – Solar energy utilization authority point of view;
- Regeneration of coal regions in Europe - sustainability and energy security;
- Green and digital transition - situation analysis in the Carpathian region through cross-border projects of the Self-government of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County;
Participants then continued with Q&A session and discussion.
