The Faculty of Process Engineering and Environmental Protection of the Technical University of Lodz is launching a new second degree course of study in the upcoming recruitment process, entirely in English, called Energy Systems in the Built Environment.
The studies are addressed to all those interested in modern methods of energy efficiency assessment, solutions for intelligent buildings and cities, as well as widely understood methods of energy acquisition and spending in urban space. The ESBE can be applied for by graduates with the title of engineer, master's degree or equivalent.
During the 3-semester studies it will be possible to gain knowledge on modern solutions and technologies for smart cities meeting the requirements of sustainable development. Students will learn, among other things, how to calculate the demand for energy and the possibility of its production with the use of renewable energy sources using modern computer simulation techniques. They will learn about power supply technologies for buildings and entire housing estates so that they meet the criteria of an almost zero-energy and low-emission economy. Graduates in this field can find a job in companies from the modern construction industry, installations, renewable energy sources, energy auditing companies, energy certification and respect for energy in the country and worldwide.
The course is realized within the framework of the Integrated Programme of the Technical University of Łódź, which is co-financed by the European Union within the framework of the European Social Fund.
