South-West Oltenia Regional Development Agency, as a partner in the DeCarb project, organized the third meeting with the relevant regional actors in the energy field, in Turceni, Gorj county, on November 15, 2019. SWORDA experts presented the stage of project implementation, as well as details about the working visit in Cottbus, Brandemburg, Lusatia region, Germany. During the meeting, the Platform for the Coal Regions in Transition and the Policy learning platform were presented.
Representatives of the business environment, as well as of the regional public authorities participated in a debate on the needs and solutions for innovation in the energy sector in the South-West Oltenia Region. Also, issues related to the policy instrument aimed at the DeCarb project were brought to the public's attention. At the end of the meeting, the participants had the opportunity to discuss their financing needs and the members of the DeCarb project implementation team, presented the opportunities available in this regard. The event ended with a session of free discussions in which everyone present actively participated, the regional actors expressing their interest to get directly involved in the project activities. The next actions carried out within the project will focus on how the partners can improve their policy tools, so as to provide effective support in the energy sector.
