The 3rd Local Stakeholders Group Meeting was held in Thessaloniki on the 18th November 2019 by the DESTI-SMART Lead Partner, Major Development Agency of Thessaloniki S.A.
The meeting presented the progress made so far regarding the implementation of DESTI-SMART, as well as the results of the 2nd Thematic Workshop on "Intermodality for Visitors at Tourist Destinations" which held in Bremerhaven, Germany on 24-25 September 2019.
The focus of the meeting and the main topic of the discussion were the results of the questionnaire survey on travel behavior that took place along the seafront of the Metropolitan area of Thessaloniki in July and August 2019, as well as the Feasibility Study which will be completed in May 2020.
Representatives of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Thessaloniki Transport Authority, the Thessaloniki Urban Transport Organisation, the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises, the Hellenic Institute of Transport, EGNATIA ODOS S.A. and other local authorities, discussed on the project’s progress, the development of the Feasibility Study and the Local Action Plan.
