Under the motto 'we care for each other, we care for our space, we become part of mobility planning', nine partners from seven European countries kicked-off the new Interreg Europe project, e-smartec.

With the ultimate goal of changing people's behaviour towards sustainable means of transport, e-smartec is expected to create awareness of citizen and stakeholder engagement in sustainable urban mobility planning.

First day: setting the Future up

During the first day of the meeting, project partners aligned efforts on how e-smartec will provide tailored guidelines on citizens' and stakeholders' engagement marketing techniques for innovative decision-making and traditional procedures.

Representatives from the six project test-bed areas: Region of Central Macedonia, West Midlands Region, Lazio Region, Bratislava Self-Governing Region, Venlo Region and the State of Hessen presented the best ideas on how to bring on board their local stakeholders and collect the best practices in their regions, as key project milestones.

More to come

The second day was dedicated to the 1st Steering Committee meeting which focused on the presentation and agreement among the partners of the administrative, management and reporting procedures.

e-smartec will run until 31 July 2022 and has a budget of 1.37M (ERDF).
