Green Week is an annual partnership between Coventry University, Warwick University, Student Unions, Coventry City Council and Warwick District Council taking place from 2 - 8 March and e-smartec is delighted to be there!
We care for each other, we care for our space, we become part of mobility planning
During the week, several activities and games are organised to encourage citizens to engage in a more sustainable day-to-day living. The event targets particularly young people and students who are interested in making from big to small -but significant- changes for the environment.
The e-smartec project was presented on March 3rd at the Green Big Fair where our local partners in West Midlands explained to visitors how e-smartec is planning to green mobility in the region!
One of the main goals of e-smartec is to involve citizens and local authorities in the implementation of smart and environmentally friendly transport practices through Sustainable Urban Mobility Planning.
At the stand, an engagement technique was used to collect and evaluate people's attitudes towards cycling in West Midlands. Through a very short survey, stand visitors were asked how often do they cycle, with which purpose and what would encourage them to cycle more. Besides, and in order to make the experience a bit sweeter, survey participants were rewarded with some yummy chocolate!
