Agenzia per lo Sviluppo Empolese Valdelsa (ASEV) from Empoli-Italy organized the second cross-border culture experts and Steering Committee meeting with project managers and regional experts from 24-26 October 2017.

At these meetings were discussed and clarified issues related to the project management and its main activities. Were discussed the Experts Reports about the results from online survey for natural and cultural heritage.  The meeting was attended by specialists in the field of cross-border culture as well as project managers representing all 9 partners: Eixo Atlántico do Noroeste Peninsular from Braga -Portugal having the role of lead partner, Eixo Atlantico del Noroeste Peninsular-Vigo and Asociación Ibérica de Municipios Ribereños del Duero from Spain, Agenzia per lo Sviluppo Empolese Valdelsa Spa from Empoli-Italy, Tokaj Borvidék Fejlődéséért Nonprofit Kft.-Hungary, Regional Development Fund / Region of Western Macedonia from Kozani-Greece, Peipsi Koostöö Keskus from Tartu-Estonia, Regionální rozvojová agentura Plzeňského kraje, o. p. s. from Plzeň-Czech Republic, Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association.

In 25 October was held in Livorno the first Interregional Thematic Seminar of EPICAH. The first part of the seminar was focused on the cross-border policies and aimed to frame the possible government strategies for a sustainable tourism through interregional cooperation. The presentations on the topic, given by the referents of the cross-border programmes MARITIME IT-FR and POCTEP ES-PT, were followed by a debate among the speakers and the audience about the advantages and the difficulties of a cross-border cooperation of tourist policies and heritage managements, the possible fields of improvement and the future possibilities of cooperation. The second part of the seminar focused on the practical actions in the sustainable tourism by presentations about the possibilities, experiences and the good practices from Tuscany. The seminar was followed by a study visit in Val di Cornia archeological and natural parc.
