Urban historical buildings preservation: new functions for old buildings
The cultural heritage of European city centers represents a unique and invaluable asset. As a matter of facts a great part of urban buildings are run-down and need to be refurbished and renovated to attract qualified new habitants and to improve life of urban centers. The overall aim of the project is to improve the quality of life of urban center inhabitants through the preservation of historical, artistic buildings which represent local cultural heritage. The project aim to identify, document, promote and apply advances in urban cultural heritage transmission and the harmonisation of appropriate measures. with conservation, by local and regional authorities, involving key stakeholders, pan-European networks, real estate development agencies and the civic society.
