Katja coordinates the tasks of the team with regard to project finances, this includes the application, implementation and closure stage of the projects. She is also responsible for finance related matters of the policy learning platforms. Katja Ecke joined the team in March 2008. 

Before joining Interreg Europe, Katja worked for the Geography department of the Humboldt-University Berlin, where she was involved in different international research/applied projects. Katja was also the responsible project and financial manager for an INTERREG IIIC EAST project.

Katja studied Geography, City and Regional Planning and Geographic Information Science at the Humboldt University Berlin, Technical University Berlin and University of North Carolina (NC, US).

Katja speaks German and English.
