Marie supports the Partner States, their project partners and first level controllers with the implementation of their first level control system. She also assists the group of auditors members and audit authority with the implementation of the audit strategy.

Her focus is on facilitating the audits on operations with all involved actors and offering assistance to the project partners during the process.  She also provides assistance to project applicants and project partners and deals with finance monitoring. Marie Grardel joined the team in March 2010.

Before joining Interreg Europe, Marie worked for 3 years for the European Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry where she was involved in EU co- financed projects.

Marie holds a Master degree in Political Sciences with specialisation in European Affairs from the Institute of Political Studies in Bordeaux and the University of Torino.

Marie speaks French, English, Italian and Polish.
