Ilaria coordinates the tasks of the team with regard to project finances, including the application, implementation and closure stage of projects. She is also involved in studies on simplification and state aid related matters.

Before joining the secretariat in 2012, Ilaria had previously worked in the private sector and as a policy intern at the Italian Embassy in Tallinn. Ilaria has a background in Political Science and International Relations and earned a Master of Arts in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe in Natolin (Warsaw). During her studies, she also spent one semester at the University of Maastricht.

She speaks Italian, English, French and Spanish.
