Mr Jean-Marc.Venineaux is graduated in public administration and European affairs. He started his career in the French administration, where he was in charge of the management of the European programmes.
He joined the European Commission in 1992 in the Directorate General for Regional Policy , where he worked in the French and the economic units. He then joined the transnational and interregional cooperation unit, and was in charge of following –up and facilitating the implementation of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region.
He was recently appointed as quality management officer to improve quality of work on macroregional strategies and to ensure better coordination between them, as well as to ensure transfer of practical experience on horizontal questions concerning every macroregional strategy. He is also in charge of the interregional programmes Interreg Europe and Interact.
