Valérie Létard is born in 1962 in the North of France. After she completed a Master in local development and solidarity economy, she has started her professionnal life as social worker.
Valérie Létard has been president of the Urban Community of Valenciennes, State Secretary in charge of Solidarity between 2007 and 2010. She is also member of the French Senate since 2001.
Today, 4 cooperation programmes, the innovative urban action initiative, and the mainstream programmes are managed under her responsibility.
