Elena is the thematic manager for the Policy Learning Platform and coordinates all activities performed by the thematic experts. She ensures the quality control of the platform services and supports the project manager in the strategic development of the platform.

From 2008 to 2014, she worked as a project officer at the Interreg IVC JTS, and she previously worked for two years at the INTERREG IIIC West JTS, supporting approved projects and monitoring their development. Before that, she worked for four years at the Venice City Council, in Italy, where she managed several projects co-financed by the EU Structural Funds, such as INTERREG IIIC East, INTERREG IIIB CADSES, INTERREG IIIA Italy-Slovenia. She also managed a number of decentralised cooperation projects.

Elena holds a master degree in Managing Sustainable Mountain Development and a master degree in Political Science and International Relations. She studied at the Universities of the Highlands and Islands (UK), Padua (Italy) and Madrid (Spain).

Elena speaks Italian, English, French and Spanish.
