Benoît is in charge of supporting applicants, assessing applications and monitoring projects achievements. He is also responsible for the policy learning platform related to SME competitiveness.
Before joining the secretariat in October 2007, Benoît represented the French state at high-level international meetings taking decisions on the management of four Interreg cooperation programmes involving the Nord-Pas de Calais region (now known as Hauts-de-France region). He presided over the transnational cooperation programme Interreg North-West Europe and coordinated regional stakeholders in the development of the Interreg programmes 2007-2013.
Benoît holds a Master of Arts in advanced European studies from the College of Europe in Poland as well as a Master of Arts in political science from Sciences Po Paris. He also studied at Warsaw University, Freie Universität Berlin and INALCO in France.
He speaks French and English, has a good command of German and Polish and is beginner in Bulgarian.
