Aeres University of Applied Science, situated in Flevoland, the Netherlands, started on September 11th the Minor: Supply Chain Management. The coming six months 26 international and Dutch students will analyse the regional food chain and propose action points to stimulate innovations in the regional food network. The Minor is a part of the Interreg Europe project FoodChains 4 EU.

 

International and Dutch students of the study ‘International Food Business’ and ‘Business administration & AgriFood business’ will analyse the regional food chain. In addition to traditional desk research, students are interviewing regional food entrepreneurs and visiting food businesses from the region. They work together with the association Flevo Food Netwerk; a network of food entrepreneurs.

 

Aeres University of Applied Science and the province of Flevoland are both participating in the Interreg Europe project FoodChains 4 EU to strengthen the regional AgriFood sector. The goal is to find solutions that improves the sustainability of the current food chain in Flevoland. Now, Aeres and the Province of Flevoland took another step towards a more sustainable food chain and developed the Minor Supply Chain Management.
