Within the Food Chains 4 Europe project, two successful projects implemented in Maramures County (Romania) are representing good practices and have a great potential of learning and transfer in other EU regions.
- SMARTPACK - Developing of active packages based on nanostructured materials designed to extend the shelf life of food is a project of the North University Center of Baia Mare, a branch of the UTCN Cluj-Napoca, financed through the ERA-NET-MicroNanoTechnologies (MNT-ERANET) Program: FC4EU Good practice_Maramures_SmartPack
- The ASSOC Social Restaurant, founded in 2010 through EU funding, is focusing on integrating people from vulnerable groups, healthy food and self-sustainability. The Professional Non-Governmental Association for Social Assistance ASSOC is developing this project by creating new jobs for people with difficulties and providing meals for 120 families in need/day and delivering around 100 meals/ day to companies, businesses or individuals: FC4EU Good practice_Maramures_Social restaurant
