On September 23-24 this year the West Pomerania Region was a co-host of the GREEN CITIES 2020 Conference.

The idea of ​​the conference is to provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of implementation of urban logistics solutions in the aspect of sustainable development, with particular emphasis on environmental protection issues and reducing the negative impact of urban freight transport on the environment.

After three editions of conference organized live this year's, fourth edition was entitled "Green Cities - Green Logistics for Greener Cities" and due to COVID-19 situation had to be organized on-line.

About 80 people from countries such as Germany, Austria, Denmark, Australia, Brazil, China, Greece, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, Ukraine and the USA were participate in the on-line meeting.

As part of the conference, participants had the opportunity to listen to lectures by world-renowned researchers dealing with the issues of urban logistics J.H.R. van Duin from Rotterdam and Russell G. Thompson from Melbourne. Also Maja Kiba Janiaiak had an interesting presentation concerning a last mile delivery during the pandemic time based on the e-customers behaviors point of view.

The conference program also included two workshop sessions, four poster sessions and was the great opportunity to present and promote GRESS project.
