3rd Innovation Policy Summit was organized on 3rd and 4th of July 2018 in Ljubljana (Slovenia) by Association of Slovenian Urban Municipalities and Slovenian Business and research Association. The objective of the event was to present regional good practices in Innovative Business Models in Circular Economy and internationalisation activities and international cooperation between clusters.
The meeting followed the similar topic from the previous two innovation policy summits - Circular Economy, which gave a good opportunity to build on regional experiences we learned from in previous events of the project HIGHER.
First day of the Innovation Policy Summit we heard 15 very interesting presentations from Slovenia and partner regions. There were more than 50 participants from business, research and local authorities and as well from managing authority.
Second day of the event partners discussed the lessons learned and plans for future activities of the project. In the afternoon project partners visited two sites in Ljubljana that served a good case of circular economy. One site was Ljubljana Regional Waste Management Centre and the other was National Institute of Chemistry that is focusing on Circular Economy for nanomaterials and is also a co-leader of strategic partnership for circular economy in Slovenia.
