The HIGHER project organized, within the framework of the European Week of Regions and 2018 cities, an international workshop on Circular Economy and Sustainable Development, which outlined the challenges of cities and regions on fostering sustainability and a green economy.
The circular economy could save life on Earth, starting with our cities. The workshop called "Circular economy for sustainable development" focused on capacity building and the exchange of experience and good practices regarding specific regional and city models, as well as practices in promoting and realising the transition to a circular economy. The main elements and approaches of the sustainable development and circular economy concepts within cities and regions have been presented, debated and promoted at this workshop.
The HIGHER project seeks to improve innovation in different European regions, through smart specialization and the promotion of I+D+I projects.
