iEER kicks off its learning activities with a visit to the beautiful and buzzing Brandenburg region in Germany. On 27.-28. September iEER project partners and stakeholders will gather to learn about Brandenburg’s tried and tested policies and programs under the theme entrepreneurial competence and mindset activation.
Having the right mindset and skills is a crucial factor in entrepreneurial success. Luckily both can be learned, which is why iEER partners are travelling to Brandenburg to study local best practices. Rewarded with the EER label in 2011, Brandenburg strengths lie especially in promoting creativity and innovation.
iEER aims to boost local entrepreneurial ecosystems with a specific focus on young entrepreneurs. Brandenburg has been chosen as the site for the first iEER learning camp because of the strong work the region is doing with entrepreneurial activation. In addition to getting familiar with the many activities in Brandenburg, iEER learning camp participants will brainstorm in workshops to figure out the best ways to boost entrepreneurial competence and activate would-be entrepreneurs.
The German Capital Region of Berlin-Brandenburg has the highest concentration of R&D facilities in Germany with fifty-two universities and some 200 public and private research institutes. The region of Brandenburg has a long-standing entrepreneurship network which has supported and activated would-be entrepreneurs for over ten years. Universities like iEER partner Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences work closely with public institutions and other organisations to provide training, workshops and consultancy for young entrepreneurs.
