The first regional stakeholders meeting in Puglia was held on Monday 15th of June. It was organized online by ARTI – the Apulia Regional Agency for Technology and Innovation.
The meeting aimed at presenting the project objectives and activities and sharing the “State of the art” report, which is an analysis of the regional situation in terms of management and implementation of Structural Funds. More specifically the report focused on the policy instrument “ERDF Operational Programme (OP) of Puglia 2014-2020”, Priority Axis 1 "Strengthening Research, Technological Development and Innovation".
The first regional meeting was a round table for sharing the first results of the regional analysis and the project path with some of the regional stakeholders.
The meeting started with an analysis on the design and implementation of the policy mix under Priority Axis 1 "Strengthening Research, Technological Development and Innovation" in terms of:
- time scheduling,
- financial resources allocated,
- results achieved so far,
- results of some interventions funded under the policy instrument analysed.
The discussion among the participants was rich and laid the foundations for starting an effective journey for learning. The stakeholders expressed their interest towards the IMPROVE project goals and activities, as they represent an opportunity for learning on new ideas, practices and solutions.
Presenting the analysis of the results achieved in the implementation of some specific interventions funded under the policy instrumen, gave the participants an opportunity to express their thoughts and opinions on the improvement of the planning phase. The following needs were identified by the stakeholders:
- maximizing the synergies among the different interventions foreseen,
- capitalizing on the results achieved in the previous programming period,
- learning from the experiences of others at national or international level.
Next steps for the regional stakeholder group are related to scheduling of another meeting with a bigger number of selected representatives, while the project partners ARTI deal with the participation to the interregional thematic workshop on 25th June.
