The next Innocastle study visit will take place in the Extramadura region of Spain, between the 4th and the 7th of November.

The trip will start with a steering group meeting in Badajoz, including a press conference to present the Innocastle project to the wider audience. The afternoon program will bring the participants to the Castle of Alburquerque.


Wednesday, 06 November 2019

The second day will host a thematic seminar on governmental financial & fiscal support schemes for historic castles, manors and estates. The seminar will take place at Parador de Zafra, and will explore topics like

  • Regulation and policies for the sustainable exploitation of HCMEs in Spain
  • Public-Private relations in heritage management
  • Marketing and Visibility for heritage and its sustainable exploitation
  • Cultural programming and cultural routes as elements for the exploitation of heritage in rural areas.

The third study visit day will bring the participants to the roman site, theatre and castle of Medellin, and later to Mérida, where a presentation on "Culture and Heritage. Impact of the Cultural heritage in a city" will be held.
