And now to the guest stakeholders from partners’ regions:
Robert Mušič comes from Hungary and represents an NGO for sustainability and rural development. Their goal is to develop rural areas and address the young who do not want to stay in the rural areas and they move abroad and to the cities. They give them ideas and knowledge to improve their business models. The added value for Robert was to see very innovative solutions that he can share at home with municipalities and companies.
Giuseppe Colucci from Camera di Commercio del Molise, Italy: “For me innovation means introducing strategies, technologies that allow the company to increase its operational level and reduce production costs because nowadays, in a globalized context, the only way to be always active is using web applications, sensors and innovative tools to be efficient on the market. Two key words must be used in companies: efficiency and information. If we have so much information and, therefore, we can control and make targeted choices and if, besides information, we have the process efficiency thanks to technology, the result is for sure positive and we can compete on the market.”
Luigi Perrella, is a manager of the "Barone" dairy, a company in the south of Italy precisely in Molise region. They produce mozzarella since three generations and they do it following the oldest tradition, combined with a considerable dose of innovation and this is what characterizes them on the market: combining tradition with innovation. They maintain the ancient flavors and when occasion rises they give the possibility to people who are not from Molise to taste their products. Since their mozzarella is best fresh their market is local. However the demand potentially increases every time people outside local environment taste their mozzarella. Therefore, they aim at lengthening the product shelf life while maintaining the old characteristics. They work a lot in Molise but, having made innovation, they also work a lot in Italy and abroad in recent times, trying to always expand their product as much as possible. The reason why Luigi came to Larissa is the fact that this project provides for visiting companies that innovate and today innovating is essential. “We had the opportunity to visit several innovative companies and in any case we took some inspiration in order to improve ourselves and to keep our mission on as best as possible in the future. Thank you.” Concluded Luigi.
Stories of our community go on … and more will be revealed in the upcoming video, for which I have to thank our partner Artūrs from Zemgale Planning Region, Latvia.
