Last 30th of June and 1st of July Abruzzo Region organized a big event, named FONDERIA ABRUZZO, addressed to policy makers, stakeholders and citizens in order to collect ideas and suggestions on the regional policies to be adopted and implemented for the new regional development strategic plan 2019-2024. 

The event has been articulated in different workshops concerning different topics in order to experience participatory planning tools and methodologies. Particular attention has been reserved for the focus dedicated to EU projects participated in by the Region as well as European structural funds (ERDF and EFS) managed by the Abruzzo Region (http://fonderia.regione.abruzzo.it/images/allegati/Programma_30-giugno-porfesr.pdf). The workshop was an opportunity for a presentation of the main actions put in place by Abruzzo Region through the ERDF and ESF 2007/2013 as well as thanks to the participation in EU projects.

One of the topic addressed during the workshop was that of transports and infrastructures and during this discussion the INTERREG EUROPE Programme and the INNOTRANS project were illustrated to participants, stimulating a debate on:

- the importance of the financial support in the field of transport innovation;

- the necessity of actively engage stakeholders of this sector to activate a learning process in order to develop and implement together strategies and policies to enhance innovation in the field of transports.

Stakeholders actively participated in the discussion showing their interest in supporting project actions and positively welcoming the learning process and good practice and knowledge sharing activities. At the end of the discussion, it was agreed with the stakeholders attending the event that during the second semester a more focused meeting will be organized in order to discuss project contents more in detail.
