On August 19, 2020, another meeting of the Innova-FI Local Stakeholders Group took place. It was attended by representatives of the Marshal's Office of the Śląskie Voivodeship (MA of the RPO WSL 2014-2020). Due to the restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting was held online.
During the meeting, the focus was on capital investments and the good practices identified during the project implementation. Two other good practices were also highlighted Business Angels Network and crowdfunding platforms indicated by the Lithuanian partner.
Three main themes of activities have been agreed which should be included in the Innova-FI Action Plan:
- Capital entries as an alternative to financing innovative and high-risk business;
- Non-financial support services for companies that want to use financial instruments (both action (1) and (2) prepared in accordance with good practices prepared by partners from Portugal and Lithuania);
- Involvement of private capital as a co-investment in financial instruments financed from public funds - business angel networks and crowdfunding (based on experiences shared by a Lithuanian partner).
Representatives of the Marshal's Office were invited to participate in the next meeting of the Innova-Fi project, which will be conducted online by the Slovenian partner on September 15-16, 2020.
