Last week, around 30 delegates from the 7 partner regions went to Belfast in order to know the best regional practices supporting SMEs internationalisation.
The project partners and stakeholders were received by Noel Lavery and Diarmuid McLean, Permanent Secretary and Director of the Economic Strategy Division of the Department for the Economy, Northern Ireland. During the first day, the delegation had the opportunity to know the support programmes from Intertrade Ireland, including experiences of SMEs and visited the headquarters of Invest Northern Ireland, where they met Invest NI export support programmes.
The second day, the visit focused on the experience of SMEs receiving public support for their internationalisation.
Next study visit will take place in Debrecen, April 2018.
