More than 20 representatives from 7 European regions visited Navarre to learn about its policies supporting the internationalization of SMEs. This was the sixth study visit planned in the framework of Inside Out EU project seeking to detect the best public policies for boosting internationalization.
The European representatives were received by Vice President Manu Ayerdi. The representatives of Navarra started explaining the International Plan for Navarre and its focus on priority markets (China, USA, India and México, beside some European countries).
Next, Miren Ausín, headof the International Unit, detailed the different initiatives in order to boost the grouped internationalization in the case of small companies.
There were also some time to know the new Mentoring and Self-Diagnosis programmes, presented by Ana Cañada, from the Chamber of Commerce (Mentoring) and by Jesús Albizu, from AVU, the company that leads the Self-Diagnosis workshops. The morning closed with the case study of how Navarre got a flight connection to Frankfurt, exposed by Amaya Manrique, from SODENA.
Cooperation among stakeholders
In the afternoon, the European delegates attended a round table moderated by Carmen Mier, representing the Lead Partner, with all the entities working in Navarra to promote internationalization: ICEX, Navarra Chamber, European Enterprise Network and CEN. The coordination among them was presented as one key point of the internationalization support in Navarre.
The second day of the study visit, partners and stakeholders visited two internationalized companies: a small company becoming international thanks to the grouped programmes and a cellar (family business) exporting all around the world.
