Cork City Council presented the Intensify pilot actions at the Innovation Week exhibition on the week of the 24th of October 2022. Innovation week is a local authority run event to highlight the successful work completed by the different departments. The Pilot Actions developed through the Intensify Regional Action Plan included the establishment of the Home Energy Upgrade Office in the City Centre. The Regional Action Plan also identified the need for an online platform to advise and empower communities to act and reduce carbon emissions. This offers an accessible one-stop-shop information outlet for the public on energy efficiency and the grants available. Developers of the Intensify project engaged with staff and the public about energy efficiency both in the office and at home to promote carbon reduction.
