UMinho met with stakeholders from private companies (Águas do Norte - www.adnorte.pt; VentilAQUA - www.ventilaqua.com and STRATIA - www.stratia.eu) with the purpose of the definition of a common co-promotion project proposal in the area of industrial wastewater treatment. A first draft of the project proposal goals was set during the meeting as well as the consortium composition. This project proposal had the secondary goal of increase the cooperation between academia and industry. Besides, a brief presentation of project goals and challenges was also carried out in the scope of ExpoBiotec 2019.
Next, UMinho has scheduled a meeting with the Norte Commission of Coordination and Regional Development (CCDRN) in order to discuss the development of roadmaps and action plans in the scope of iWATERMAP, as well as the support to the integration of UMinho in the Water Smart Territories platform.
