For the site visit, the KISS ME consortium visited PARK gründer- og næringshus a renowned innovative center connecting business, academia & the public in the field of game development, VR/AR and tech. There,, the KISS ME consortium had the chance to visit a Green Room, in which so-called Greenscreen film productions are made, as well as the birth place of the video game "My Child Lebensborn", a story-driven nurture game based on the true story of the Lebensborn and children born during the Second World War, which recently won a BAFTA GamesAward in the category "Game Beyond Entertainment".
On the second day of the meeting, the partners and stakeholder came together for the Stakeholder Workshop, which comprised three different thematic sessions: "SME participation in CBC - challenges and good practices", "Action Plans - Lessons learnt from KISS ME", and "SME participation and the future of CBC".
Among others, the partners and stakeholders exchanged experience on so-called "umbrella projects" in which a core consortium supports SMEs in handling the application and implementation of sub-projects running under the umbrella. This set up seems to be efficient in a number of regions. However, the implementation of these umbrella project varies. Moreover, language, culture and history were highlighted once again as crucial factors in CBC which are not focused on sufficiently within the CBC policy instruments. Concerning the future of CBC, all partners and stakeholders agreed that CBC Policy Instruments were important tools for SMEs and helped to deconstruct barriers within Europe - and should therefore by all means be continued post 2020.
With the meeting in Hamar, the KISS ME consortium has successfully organised 5 interregional Meetings in each of the partner regions. These meetings rendered many important insights which will be transferred into the 4 regional Action Plans. The Action Plans will be presented officially at the KISS ME Action Plan Presentation Meeting on 19 June.
