It was great to meet up with our MARIE partners last week!
We were on-line, but we still got to see the snow in Finland, the rain in Ireland and the sun in Italy!
We started with updates on project progress and thinking about the possible new opportunity for additional activities. MARIE partners are full of ideas as always!
Then, building on the discussion at the previous virtual meeting (October 2020), we started exchange on impact monitoring and how it might be possible to improve the systems used in MARIE territories to monitor the impact of our regional policies.
The initial objective of this session was to gather some expert input on the topic and to start mapping what MARIE regions are already doing in this field. The session had a presentation from Roger Strand from the Centre for the Study of the Sciences and the Humanities, University of Bergen. Roger was the chair of the European expert group on "Indicators for promoting and monitoring Responsible Research and Innovation".
