The final conference of the MOMAr Interreg Project will take place on the 28th of March in the city of Zaragoza.

The conference will be an opportunity to explore the challenges of managing cultural and natural heritage in rural areas and to discover how partners have successfully implemented different projects and strategies in response to these challenges. The event will provide inspiration to territories facing similar challenges and will showcase concrete actions to be replicated in other regions.

The lead partner, the Provincial Government of Zaragoza, will host the meeting where all partners, the Territorial Administrative Unit of Mehedinti County (Romania), the Ministry of Regional Development and Transport of Saxony-Anhalt (Germany), The Province of Groningen (The Netherlands) and the Regional Development Agency of South Bohemia – RERA a.s. (Czech Republic), together with MOMAr stakeholders and policy officers, policymakers and relevant professionals of the heritage sector will meet to close and celebrate the project results.

MOMAr started in 2019 with the goal to improve policies and programmes addressing heritage in rural territories, taking into account the peculiarities and cultural identities of places where rurality determines a mode of action. After the work and international exchange of these past three years, the partnership will present the results of the implementation of their Action Plans, moreover, they will reflect on the impact that the project itself has had on the improvement and development of the rural areas participants in MOMAr.
