On 27 October 2022, the Policy Learning Platform organized a workshop on natural and cultural heritage in coastal regions in Cagnes-sur-mer, France!
Coastal and marine regions are under numerous environmental and anthropogenic pressures, which have significant impacts on local natural and cultural heritage.
To tackle these challenges, European coastal regions and seas require a holistic policy response, which spans water management, ecosystem restoration, pollution control, climate change mitigation, sustainable management of fisheries, spatial planning, and cultural heritage.
We were glad to present PLASTECO's achievements on the topic "Reducing plastic waste in marine environment". The A3.5. workshop on aquatic plastic litter and clean-up events was described and successful practices were shared with the audience.
