The PLASTECO project comes to an end. Therefore, our Italian partner, the Region of Lombardy, Italy, has organized a Final Dissemination Event in Milan on 10. May 2023 in the premises of the institution. The Agenda of the event is available HERE.
Our team is happy to share that the event was completed successfully - with an excellent organization, broad audience and participation from all project partners.
The thematic event was divided into 2 main parts:
1. Project-related topics - update on the Action Plans' monitoring, presented by all project partners and overview of Communication good practices
2. Thematic presentations by regional experts:
Opportunities and challenges of plastic waste management in Europe - Mario Grosso, Politecnico di Milano.
- The Regional Waste Management Program of the Lombardy Region - Giorgio Ghiringhelli and Michele Giavini, ARS Ambiente
- Waste to Resources Latvia - boosting regional sustainability and circularity with waste to resources - Alise Vecozola, Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development
- Municipal activities in the field of tackling plastic pollution at a local level -Georgi Simeonov, Head of Investment and EU Programmes Directorate at the Municipality of Stara Zagora
- State-of-the-art plastics recycling in Lombardy: the role of recycling technologies (mechanical and chemical) in the development of a circular economy of the plastics supply chain. Experiences of companies in the chain.
- The steady experience in recycling. Barbara Barbarisi, Montello S.p.A.
- Development of a chemical recycling technology: Opportunities and Drivers. Nicola Fiorotto, Versalis S.p.A.
