On November 24, 2021, Susana Clavijo Núñez, PhD student at the University of Seville and Andalusian POWERTY expert, has been recognized with the Andalucía Joven Award. The jury of the awards has valued her career and has decided to award her the award in the category of Sustainable Development.
The candidacy was proposed by the Development Cooperation Office of the US, in assessment of Susana Clavijo's curriculum, for her participation in the Solar Decathlon team, as a decathlete in the Europe 2019 call - Hungary, for her TFM in the Master in Sustainable City and Architecture, under the title 'Energy poverty in Andalusia. Construction of sustainable cities as a resource ', in agreement with the Andalusian Energy Agency of the Board and for her work as a doctoral student in the Doctorate Program in Architecture, with research under the title 'Energy poverty in Andalusia. An approach through decentralized indicators and methodologies with a gender and public health approach in the context of climate justice'.
The award also comes to recognize her work in the Development Cooperation Office of the University of Seville and her graduation as an engineer, specializing in renewable energies, from the US Higher Technical School of Engineering.
