On the meeting, an overview of the learnings from the study visit to the Vidzeme Planning Region in October 2016 was given. A description and overview of the Latvian Food Cluster and of the Institute of Environmental Solutions was given to the stakeholders. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions about the best practices posed.

An overview of the barriers to innovation across the participating partners was given and this was compared and contrasted with those outlined for the Irish region.

An overview of the European partners’ good practices were given and again, these were compared and contrasted with the Irish ones.
